Apparently, the NFL competition committee is considering the elimination of kickoffs
.The problem is this:Isn't kicking an essential part of the sport of American football? What would they do to replace it,adopt the infamous XFL
method which is actually more dangerous?!
So far,the recent wet weather that NorCal has experienced within the past month suggests that we might be in for a relatively wet El Niño
;which regardless of how bad we need the rain after below-normal rainfall last year,is going to create an ongoing nuisance at work
this winter/spring thanks to last year's fire next door. That's because the the since-razed Tuesday Morning building was built on a now-bare foundation that was several yards/meters higher than the foundation level my store sits on;and that bare foundation is now a de facto
freeway of storm runoff with a steep slope before the store building wall begins. We just had several straight days of wet weather;and Sunday morning(during the wettest storm of that stretch),my store suffered partial flooding. While not bad enough to disrupt the business day(it would be hours before I was due in),they did have to deploy multiple water vacuums to dry the sales floor.Oh boy, this new hazard of occasional light to moderate flooding during the wet season is something my store doesn't need;and that's on top of company stock falling below a buck...again...
Happy birthday to Shoujirou Kihara(who turns 77),Naozumi Takahashi(who turns 41),Sayaka Ohhara(who turns 37),Yukiko Mannaka(who turns 36),and Nobunaga Shimazaki(who turns 24)...
