Bitten by an LJ server outage yesterday...

Anyhow,since Staples is just across the street from work,I frequently ring up a few of their employees.Last week,as I rang up an assistant manager of theirs,I requested insight on the average life of a typical laptop.He replied five years,and I've had my Satellite for 5 1/2.Hopefully,his figure is an underestimate as cleanup/defragging have done very little to improve things to the point that even WMP has been getting sluggish at times...
Yesterday,I received an unsolicited text that was so profane that it contained offensive slurs.Though it was clearly intended for the one who previously used my current number,thank goodness I found out about SMS watchdog just days ago,as I reported it before deleting.Now,if only I found out about this service a lot earlier(as in when I still used Virgin Mobile)...
