As recently as last week,we had rain in NorCal;and May was unusually wet.In any given rainfall season,Sacro's rainfall totals(which reset annually on July 1st)don't frequently hit or exceed the 'season normal'.However, the final 2010-2011 totals exceeded the season norm by almost 5 inches. At least June was more typical and drier in general.Hopefully, there won't be any more 'global weirding' anytime soon...

Somehow,my comp may have something that neither Malware Bytes or McAfee has been detecting. The browser especially has been sluggish at times, and even the security scans have been slower than normal. In fact, whenever running Malware Bytes lately,I keep getting 'database is outdated by more than 14 days messages even though I run it at least once a week. Now that I just recently finally managed to uninstall the software connected to my long-broken 32 GB ZEN,I wonder if maybe installing another security program will make a difference;as the culprit can't be BT since I haven't bothered with it since fall since not much Kappei anime has been fansubbed since...

Having purchased a few Japanese city atlases in Shoubunsha's Dekkaji mappu series from Kinokuniya Bookweb USA,I can say that only in Japan you can routinely find gas, fast food, and shopping on traditional printed city maps.On this side of the Pacific,we must rely on online mapping for this convenience...

Despite being off that Sunday,I couldn't catch this year's Indy 500 due to this-almost-impossible-to-receive digital signal of my local ABC station;but then again,I was ultimately spared since Takuma Satou crashed out of the race early.Speaking of crashes, perhaps yesterday's pile-up on a French road course may have been one of the few things that aren't rigged about La Tour des Drogues. On a lighter note,Nadeshiko Japan has advanced to the knockout round in the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup.While I haven't had cable TV for months,it still would be nice to see them run the table...

While I've hit minor brick walls in Dragon Quest IX,I haven't yet hit any bigger ones...

Happy 41st birthday to Yuuko Nagashima...
