First post using an alternative(non-mobile)browser...

I had previously installed both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox within the past year or two as emergency alternative browsers when it was revealed that IE had severe security holes. Those holes have since been fixed, but today was a good reason to re-visit these alternative browsers:Election Day.Yes,I did vote today;but once I got home(after placing 'votes' for local public transit,Sacro's best specialty grocery store, and my favorite menu item at McD),I was looking for a way to avoid exposure to election results for at least a day or two(Yahoo! is my default IE start page). There was something wrong with Google Chrome;but fortunately, the Mozilla Firefox default search page was only a search page with no news headlines(though Y!powered). So at least for the next 2 days,I'll be experimenting with this.As for voting,I've been registered with the same party since I registered in time for the 1998 primaries(midterms and California gubernatorial).I'll say that I've been always fed up with and disillusioned by the Republican'ts,not to mention that there is such a term as 'not liberal enough.'Nobody likes taxes, but those Republican'ts are too obsessed with unlimited welfare to corporate America to even give a d@mn about small businesses and America's working class. If only the average American voter was wise enough to wake up and smell the coffee than to frequent every tea party...

Congratulations to my Gigantes on ending a 56-year World Series title drought and on bringing the first such title to the City By The Bay.Unlike their three prior attempts(1962,1989,and 2009)since moving out West in 1958,they were methodically dominant from the get-go,never looking back after taking the first 2 games at home.Hopefully, championship gear will be available in stores soon...

I actually worked the early shift on Halloween;but had completely forgotten that it was dress-up day mainly because I had other things on my mind(including the Fall Classic).OTOH,the best I would have been able to do is to wear one of my cosplay caps during my shift since I don't have enough of an imagination.Oh well...

The good news that the world's largest publisher of gutter media periodicals has filed for bankruptcy. The bad news that it's far from going out of business. As long as celebrity gossip magazines don't exist in Japan, all is well with the world...

Happy birthday to Hiroshi Arakawa(who turns 70),Akira Ishida(who turns 43),Naomi Wakabayashi(who turns 35),Kumi Sakuma(who turns 34),and Akira Tomisaka(who turns 32)...
