How local public transit issues could become a mere sideshow...

It's a good thing that the new timetable book was available when I dropped by RT's customer support facility today, because tomorrow is definitely that last day the current schedules would be in effect when I try to get to work.Next week(effective Sunday),I'll have to re-learn the schedules not only to get to work safety, but also for personal outings as well.If there's a silver lining, this might be the bottoming-out of RT's money crunch in the wake of the epic recession...

OTOH,I seriously hope the same can be said about my company's ongoing struggles;but some things lately haven't been encouraging:I forgot to mention last post that my store actually received its bi-weekly shipment of Thrifty Ice Cream a day late just over a week ago,and that is a little disconcerting. As of late,in-stock levels of some products have been shaky because the distribution warehouse hasn't consistently been replenishing item stock at the store level. While out today,I slipped into another Rite Aid locally, and I was a bit jealous of their stock levels and enhanced merchandise selection. It's not even a full week before a new CEO takes the reins and already the village idiots at this message board are already writing off John Standley as 'the CEO who will preside over the company's demise,'and it seems like they're hoping Rite Aid goes BK or merged even though they've never worked behind a Rite Aid counter or held company stock. Not to mention that Forbes online recently scored an own goal against its own credibility for suggesting that RAD is 'at serious risk of bankruptcy.'Hopefully, for the tens of thousands of Rite Aid employees,Mary Sammons's successor can prove all those 'prognosticators' wrong...

Speaking of soccer,it doesn't matter if it was a 1-0 result. What matters is that The Blue Samurai have their first World Cup win on foreign soil.As for the rest of the 2010 World Cup field, some teams have already have already played 2 games(out of 3)in group play, and some teams could punch tickets to the Round of 16 before playing round-robin game 3...

BTW,my scoring today of Sharam Q's Gambler(BVCR-731)chances are isn't the only time anyone has scored J-pop at a Goodwill store...

Happy birthday to both Kazuki Yao(who turns 51)and Kouichi Yamadera(who turns 49)...
