Though I don't know the song or who sings it,another local YouTuber uploaded this homemade video that questions how Sacramento Regional Transit has handled its problems over the past couple of years.Last week(knowing that I couldn't attend Monday's board meeting without a risk of being stranded afterwards),I sent a long e-mail to RT management explaing how all local commuters(even car-happy drivers who wouldn't touch transit with a 10-foot pole)would lose equally due to increased congestion.They've unnecessarily reduced night and weekend buses and while allowing unnecessarily allowing excessive weekday route cannibalization over the past couple years,and many of their potential 'cure' options for their operating budget hole are worse than the disease.Yet,some teabaggers stereotypically compare supporting transit to being on welfare.I even see well-to-do professionals ride buses and trains locally...
