That one samurai Poké-trainer sounded like he could've been voiced by the likes of Ai Orikasa,Minimi Takayama,or another [info]otokoyaku seiyuu.I had completely forgotten about Yukiji. As for Jessie Musashi and James Kojiro, that 'looks like Team Rocket is blasting off again' is replaced by a simple 'THIS SUCKS!' based on the first 4 uncut episodes...

Happy birthday to Akio Ohtsuka(who turns 50),Fumie Kusachi(who turns 40 and has largely vanished from seiyuudom since Fancy Lala),and Miki Maruyama(who turns 22)...
24th-Nov-2008 10:02 pm - Some Megumi madness here...

I won both Megumi maxi-singles;and from a Buy It Now listing,I nailed a another maxi-single:her version of Alchemy Of Love(an English version by 2 non-Japanese singers whose names I don't remember off-hand was the ending theme of Tenchi Muyou in Love where Megumi voiced Achika Masaki). As with the other 2 maxi-singles,Alchemy of Love Megumi version was previously sampled at [info]seiyuu...

Speaking of Megumi Hayashibara and other J-pop artists, when ripping CD's for uploading music for all the MP3 players I've had over the years, info for all the Japanese imports came from Japanese sources rather than the Anglosphere-centric All Music Guide that Windows Media Player normally uses(and in consequence, the album/track info were all in Japanese). However,I recently went to the AMG site, since I knew Masami Okui was listed since they had info for Neei. When looking up their info, they had additional Makkun album info for select albums(namely S-mode #2).When looking up Megumi, they had accurate info on her solo albums up to and including Iravati. The info for Fuwari omitted a track in the middle of the album. To correct it,I registered with the site.In addition to fixing the Fuwari omission,I submitted track info for 2 Chisa Yokoyama albums(Renai no Sainou and A-B-Chisa),Ritsuko Okazaki's For RITZ,and Makkun's Dragonfly from a few Anglophone web sources;as those albums were in the database but had very limited track info.Anyway,I've updated the info in my comp-stored WMP library;but as it doesn't fully update it to fully allow the cover artwork to upload to my ZEN's,I've been deleting the albums from the hard drive and re-ripping them with English info and tags.So far,I've done Megumi's first 4 StarChild albums(up to and including Shamrock)as well as S-mode #2;and I'll hopefully finish through Iravati tomorrow.Once AMG updates/corrects the info;I'll do Fuwari,For RITZ,Dragonfly, and the 2 Chisa albums as well...

Speaking of seiyuu, happy 39th birthday to Miki Yumeno Fumie Kusachi...

Today when shopping at Oto's,there were a couple new cashiers.Neither of them had nametags yet,so I went through one of checkout lanes, and it turned out she had a Japanese name.At least I won't feel lost next time,as I miss being checked out by those 2 ladies that are no longer there. As for magazines, the only one I wound up getting was the latest Newtype Japan as I've missed some issues of the manga phonebooks and had more serious things on my mind(see last post,onegai?)...

Well,I've nabbed a copy of Ai Orikasa's I via an eBay Buy It Now listing.IIRC,she's had several albums at least...

While there's still time, happy 33rd birthday to Yuu Asakawa(or Mrs.Shoutarou Morikubo, depending on how you put it)whose first role I've heard(watching anime)surprisingly was as Maika Mizukoshi in Da Capo II;and since's it's basically tomorrow alread(the 21st)in all time zones but a few, happy birthday to both Wakana Yamazaki(who turns 43)and Miho Shinohara Reiko Ohmori(who turns 24)...

In this archive, look for the video titled "60s video accurately predicted our future."It can also be found here...

I wouldn't doubt it if hundreds or thousands of major leaguers over the past 2 decades used steroids. At least yakyuu is largely scandal-free...

The January 2008 issue of Nakayoshi debuts Shiho Kashiwagi's Sutsubadamontsu and also includes the Wako Wakobe one-shot Kimi ha Wonder, while Hana to Yume 838(first 2008 issue)concludes 2 longer running series:Shigeru Takao's Golden Days and Julietta Suzuki's Karakuri Odette...

Happy 38th birthday to Tetsuha Hiroya Aikawa Hideo Ishikawa...

I wonder, based on variations that switch around the gifts on the ninth through twelfth days, how many different versions are there of The 12 days of Christmas?

Happy 38th birthday to Miki Yumeno Fumie Kusachi...

Watching it on light rail on the way to Oto's gives me the urge to wring the necks of Tsutomu-sama's 2 male friends.Speaking of Oto's,the December 2007 Nakayoshi debuts Moyoco Anno's latest work Getsukou Himejion. As for Hana to Yume #836,it's evident that Seiko Nakamura's Yuujou Survival and Hisamu Oto's Hana to Akuma are long-finished older works still spawning brief side-story spinoffs.OTOH,Natsuki Takaya's Twinkle Stars is just one chapter away from assuring its first tankoubon compilation...

Happy 45th birthday to Soi Nina Hagen Motoko Kusanagi Yumi Haneishi Atsuko Tanaka who according to Japanese Wikipedia was previously an office lady and didn't enter seiyuudom until her 30's.Others who took a similar route include Kotono Mitsuishi,Naoko Takano, and Junko Minagawa(though at much younger ages)...

Once I shut down the notebook before snoozing last night, the episode 9 torrent was 57% done.Once I got home from work,I turned it back on;and I must have been lucky to have fast download speeds(80+ KB/s)because it finished within an hour.I haven't started the episode 10 torrent yet,and that's mainly because the router blitzed out again for a while.I might start it after this post...

Well,it sounds like Paulette Ritsuko Akagi Nico Robin Wonder Okayama Yuruko had her baby.If Kappei-sama isn't the father,I'd be scared if given first name of his wife/the mother of his child(ren) is Yuriko.*cringes about the possible early taste of Muupu in the SS movie*

Happy 21st birthday to Keiko Kitagawa(live-action Sailor Mars)...

Of the pocket English dictionaries published in Japan for Japanese speakers,my recently-arrived copy of Kenkyusha's New Little English Dictionary is the first one I've run into with a romaji and kana charts for reading Japanese.Somehow,I may finally have the urge to finally install Instant Immersion Japanese Deluxe...

Happy 40th birthday to Akito Tenkawa Keitarou Urashima Yoshio Akitoki Hojo Youichi Kudou Yuuji Ueda. Why they didn't let him voice Sanosuke Sagara full time is beyond me.I'll likely watch Peacemaker Kurogane before Rurouni Kenshin...

With all the controversial news,I don't think I'd ever want to rely on Craigslist under any circumstances...

Since it's tomorrow in all but a few time zones around the world, happy 49th birthday to Pigu Shinobu Adachi...
tarou from fancy lala
I do now have an LJ-sized avatar of Fancy Lala's Tarou Yoshida-sama as tested in this post, coutesy of a pic on this Italian fansite...

Yesterday,I had a scare when logging into a Mail.com-hosted secondary e-mail addy now previously linked to my eBay and PayPal accounts:Once logging in,it loaded an page with a banner ad and few account links. When I clicked "check mail,"I got an error saying that my login session had expired;and it persisted when I tried multiple times, some up to an hour or more apart.Even though the glitch didn't occur today,I still changed the e-mail addy linked to my eBay account and added that same addy to my PayPal account which supplanted the Mail.com addy. Not to mention that McAfee's Site Advisor service warned that credible user feedback from multiple users report a lot of links to spyware download sites.I have 3 different addys hosted by Mail.com(all secondary),but all were hosted by different sites that were swallowed up by Mail.com...

After work today,I wound up getting my first taste of those giga-sized Wally-Marts that incorporate supermarket elements. Not really dizzying, but obviously nothing like the Wal-Marts I've previously been in at least once...

Happy 26th birthday to Millefeuille Natsuki Ikuhara Ryouko Shintani...

Just an advance warning:I will NOT be checking anything online due to the sensitive nature tomorrow, and not because I work haf the day(and night)tomorrow. No joke...
