Congratulations to the Japanese Olympic contingent for bringing home a total of 25 medals(9 gold,6 silver,and 10 bronze)from Beijing.The final Japanese medal was a bronze awarded to the mens 4x100m relay team of Naoki Tsukahara,Shingo Suetsugu,Shinji Takahara,and Nobuharu Asahara.Owing to historical contexts,I didn't realistically think that Japan had a serious chance of thaking home from Beijing as many medals as they did in Athens 4 years ago.Maybe 4 years from now in London they'll have a better chance of corralling at least 30 medals.Not to mention that Tokyo is vying for the 2016 games and his a decent chance at challenging Rio...

Well,I've placed the opening bid on a toy Fairy Carafe(as featured in Futari wa Purikyua Splash Star).Speaking of SS,the fansubbing project has resumed with episodes 18-20(concluding the Dorodoron story arc).However,as mysteryperson_x is currently experimenting with those troublesome .mkv's,I'll stick with "da rawz"(from 18 onward,all in ZEN-friendly .avi format)at least for the time being(even though the raw episodes are generally larger file-sized than the first 17 fansubbed episodes)...

Well,both my federal and state returns were accepted;but when trying to print out personal records Sunday night,I had a scare:First time I accessed the TurboTax Freedom edition site after logging in,the browser window crashed.The second time I tried again,Windows XP suddenly shut down and went into standby mode.Right off the bat,I feared a virus.However,I was able to shut off the Satellite after holding down the power switch for 5-10 seconds.Once I turned it back on,I immediately performed a virus scan which is usually automatticaly done weekly usually on a Friday.Even then,all the scan turned up was the usual tracking cookies...

Today,I tried again;and this time,it printed everything out without hitches...

In any case,my box of Chicchana Yukitsukai Sugar trading cards arrived all the way from Yokohama.As a bonus,the shipment even included a Bandai "disco graphic seal" depicting graphics from Nana.I haven't gotten into that series yet;but thank goodness it's the import-only PS2 game and not the anime adaptation that suffers from bad casting in respect to a Junko Saotome.At least the anime version's more superior seiyuu has co-starred alongside Kappei-sama in a couple of titles,namely Dead Leaves which I have on DVD but haven't watched yet.Speaking of Kappei,since he doesn't appear to have any new post-Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash Star voice roles,it obviously appears that he must be temporarily cutting down his work load to try to recuperate from his toughest voice role of any kind since that one-episode voice role in the second Sakura Taisen OVA series...

Believe it not,my Gigabeat has lasted over a year already.Eventually,it's gonna get an infusion(at least a dozen CD's worth) of new music,including more of Makkun's greatest hits(s-mode's #1 and #3 came today)which itself includes her 2 duets with Megumi Hayashibara which never made any of the latter's solo albums...

Well,my copy of Megumi Hayashibara's Feel Well was actually sold by YesAsia's eBay store,and I recently received a "$5 off your first order of $30 or more from their non-eBay store" coupon that expired tomorrow.Not only did I use it on Masami Okui's first and third S-mode greatest hits compilations(I won the second one on eBay a couple of years ago),but my purchase earned me some bonuses:a free authentic Japanese mini-toy(I chose a Super Mario DS one.)and two more coupons(one valid at a sister online store)...

While there's still time,happy birthday not only to yachinami(24 years young),but also to both Harumi Ikuhara Mariko Suzuki(who turns 37,though Hitoshi Doi says 40)and Jan Yuuko Sasamoto(who turns 34);and since it's almost tomorrow already,happy 26th birthday to Tomo Takino Chieko Higuchi...
