| It's a relief that Rovio uses in-house voice talent for it Angry Birds Tons(animated shorts).Maybe it's because of bad voice-casting fears, but I wouldn't look forward to an anime version if it came to that... Happy 35th birthday to Junji Majima...

| For all intents and purposes, the chances of PC post are slim unless I somehow replace my comp which I still don't plan to do just yet. While I still can play/rip CD's with occasional WMP malfunction risk,I've now had to do other tasks on my mobile devices.Even my security programs(McAfee,Malware Bytes)have been malfunction prone.I'm considering a tablet purchase since e-manga is available on the Kindle and Look apps, but not as a PC replacement as I prefer to also have a working comp... Thanks to Eric Gryba single-handedly ruining my Habs' Cup chances this year, the Aguilas are the only winter team of mine with a chance at a title this year;not to mention more drama in the Kings' saga... Happy birthday to Naomi Nagasawa(who turns 42),Mayumi Yamaguchi(who turns 38),and Takashi Kondou(who turns 34)... - Tags:computing, manga, music, nba, nhl, rl, seiyuu, soccer, via ljapp

| Already, the NBA's relocation and finance committees have advised against our Kings relocating to the Puget Sound. While the Board of Governors(all 30 team owners)has yet to vote on the Kings' fate, the Mark Mastrov-led group has already submitted a down payment deposit for the purpose of a formal purchase. With the replacement for the current in-the-middle-of-nowhere Sleep Train Arena going on the site of a long-dying Downtown Plaza,it would be nice for transit riders. At least the Fakers were swept out of the first round... For all intents and purposes,my laptop may have already hit the point of no return:McAfee won't do its weekly auto-scan on time unless I play a CD on the comp,on top of most programs that I use at least occasionally being malfunction-prone... Happy birthday to Masashi Ebara(who turns 60),Akiko 'Relena Peacecraft' Yajima(who turns 46),and Daisuke Ono(who turns 35)...

| Yesterday's Malware Bytes scan turned up negative,so the Satellite gets a break today before tomorrow's McAfee scan(certain automatic updates periodically change the day of the week that the scheduled weekly scan occurs,as it turns out).Hopefully that goes on without a hitch... A few years back,my store got toy/candy vending machines(Americanized gashapon of sorts);and early on in the flat-pay ones that stickers/fake tattoos come out of,one of them dispensed logo tattoos for one of 4 LigaMX teams.I mistakenly thought they were stickers,so I popped in two quarters to randomly choose a team to root for. While that removable tattoo remains unused to this very day,it happened to be for a team that has had Coke sponsorship ties for decades, and I've since acquired a Club America cap even though I haven't managed to wear it as much as I've liked to because of the King-sized soap opera that has me wearing my Kings cap daily(to stand up for Sacro).OTOH,picking a favorite J-league team may never be that simple.Speaking of work, yet another quarterly profit has my Rite And clearly on the comeback trail... Happy birthday to Mahito Tsujimura(who turns 83),Fumio Matsuoka(who turns 80),Kazuko Yanaga(who turns 66),Takumi Yamazaki(who turns 49),and Mie Kataoka(who turns 41)...

| Yesterday,I had multiple programs(WMP and Malware Bytes)malfunction on me to the point that they crashed.I unplugged and/or closed the laptop upon leaving for work and/or before bedtime. This morning,Malware Bytes still would hang while trying to update after I opened the laptop upon waking up.I had to force close it before rebooting the comp;but on rebooting,MB finally updated properly and I started a new scan just before leaving for work.Whether it catches something or not,I just hope McAfee runs normally on Monday when it does the scheduled weekly scan. Not to mention that the music track-duplication bug has returned to the S2 after being lulled into a false sense of security... While Kobe's popped Achilles is a relief to many non-Lakers fans,it would do any Sacramentans like me any good unless Mark Mastrov and company can save our Kings. If the NBA owners side with Chris Hanson and company,I'd might as well boycott the NBA entirely. No wonder I have at least a dozen pro soccer fan apps on my local devices(geaux Samurai Blue, geaux Impact, geaux Club America Aguilas). Not to mention the resurgence of my Niners,Gigantes, and Habs... Happy birthday to Yasuyoshi Hara(who turns 61),Ayako Shiraishi(who turns 50),and Kimiyoshi Kibe(who turns 49)...

| With yesterday's McAfee scan a success, today was the first time in a week that I didn't have to turn on the comp before leaving for work and the leave it unattended for as long as 10 hours while it did some type of security scan.As early as tomorrow,I'll surely find out if this latest scumware episode has truly been eradicated. Not to mention that I'm revisiting my CD collection to get more music from my CD's... Happy birthday to both Motomu Kiyokawa(who turns 78)and Kazuko Sugiyama(who turns 66)...

| Yesterday's Malware Bytes scan turned up nothing;and while the planned McAfee scan was pushed back to today(it started before I left for work),rebooting the comp after getting home yesterday got McAfee working right again... Happy 38th birthday to Sachiko Nagai...

| Yesterday's Malware Bytes scan turned up several aware parasites;but even after removing them and rebooting, things still seem abnormal:McAfee can't even be opened, and I had to manually uninstall certain programs that had involuntarily been installed within the past week and had been causing trouble in the first place. On top of that,my comp has been wanting to 'update' every time I've tried to shut it down the past few days;and it's seemed suspicious every time.I started yet another Malware Bytes scan this morning before leaving for work;and hopefully in combination with above mentioned manual adware installs,it does the trick.Thank goodness I did my taxes over 2 weeks ago, over a week before this latest cyber-drama unfolded... Happy birthday to both Miyoko 'Cologne' Asou(who turns 87)and Shinobu Adachi(who turns 55)...

| The good:A recent ATT firmware update has eliminated the music track replication bug, though it had to happen during a crosstown trip to Oto's last week... The bad:The unrelated Galaxy player has been prone to crashes and sudden reboots even though it's primarily used at home nowadays... The ugly:The comp continues to be a pain at times.I wonder if the MalwareBytes scan that I initiated before leaving for work detects anything... I wonder what clock is featured in the Gigantes' 2012 title defense logo... Mark Mastrov and company, please succeed in saving the Kings... Happy 68th birthday to Akio Nojima, yet another patriarch of a seiyuu family... - Tags:baseball, cell phones, computing, japanese drinks, japanese snacks, nba, rl, seiyuu, via ljapp

| The weekly McAfee security scan has getting slow again.A few weeks ago,it didn't finish until two in the morning, though I actually dozed off the previous day and didn't wake up(and turn on the comp)until almost noon. Two weeks ago,I actually woke up and turned it on around eight since I had errands to run(including my first trip to Oto's in over a month),but it still didn't finish until ten at night.Last week,I also dozed off until late morning;but with the scan at just 80% complete at half past 11 at night,I unplugged the cord from the Satellite(not the power strip)which caused it to go into power save mode(the battery ain't what it used to be)and pause the scan even after I replugged the cord a few minutes later.Upon waking up the next day,I turned it back on to allow the scan to finish(which it did before leaving for work).Since I woke up at eight again today and turned it on shortly after,it at least should finish before bedtime.Speaking of Oto's,today's trip(as well as last trip)should last me for quite a while since the upcoming annual DST change(as well as March likely being wetter than the last two months)may foul up my sleep clock for at least a while. Not to mention that I'm prone to oversleeping if I worked the previous night(I actually worked on Thursday the previous three weeks due to co-worker illnesses and/or vacations though V-day was a morning shift which allowed me to wake up early and go to Oto's the next day.) .Of course, even some of my mobile devices have minor glitches. Not only does my Galaxy S2 have a music player glitch(it thinks there are two or three of each music track on my Micro SD card)which forces me to clear the cache multiple times a week since it sometimes interferes with the device's ability to routinely auto-update my apps;but also,G-mail hasn't always auto-synched right on my Galaxy Player 4.0 lately... Happy birthday to both Misa Kobayashi(who turns 37)and Sakura Nogawa(who turns 35)...
